CHARMIN SPENCER

Founder and CEO

Charmin Spencer is the Founder of The Sleeping Prince Foundation. She founded this organization in 2011 after experiencing the unexpected loss of her Son Prince Charles Jeremiah Spencer. As Charmin laid in the hospital Charmin realized there is a need to support families who suffer such a difficult loss especially during the holidays. Her experience with the NICU started back in 2004 Charmin spent everyday for 3 months at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital with her daughter Paradise who was a micropreemie born at 25 weeks gestation. In her role as founder and CEO her core focus is to provide resources and holiday hope to families with similar experiences to her. 
Possessing a limitless capacity for others, Charmin is a YMCA Black and Latino Achiever – 2011, a former Toyota Navigo Career Coach to high school students interested in STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) careers.
A consensus leader, Charmin takes pride in her holistic, inclusive approach. She is a 2015 graduate of the Urban League’s African American Leadership Development Program – Class of XXII. A favorite quote: "Nothing will work unless you do" – Maya Angelou.
Charmin graduated from Tennessee State University with a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Charmin and her husband Jason, have 4 wonderful children, Paradise, Jasmin, Charles, and Jason II.

Willette Moore

Community Outreach Director

Willette Moore Williams is a compassionate minister, certified home health aide, and the Community Outreach Director for the Sleeping Prince Foundation, Inc. With a deep commitment to serving others, she combines a passion for spiritual care with hands-on healthcare experience to support individuals and families in need. As Community Outreach Director, Rev. Willette leads initiatives that connect underserved displaced populations with vital resources, organizing programs that promote mental health, wellness, and spiritual growth within the community. In addition to her nonprofit work, Willette provides compassionate care to clients in their homes, helping them navigate life’s challenges with dignity and grace. Her unique role allows her to meet both the physical and emotional needs of individuals, fostering a holistic approach to care. A lifelong advocate for service, Willette also ministers to those in need, offering guidance, support, and a sense of hope to all who seek it. When she isn’t working with Sleeping Prince Foundation or providing care to clients, Willette enjoys spending time with family.

LATISSUE BUTLER

Secretary

Latissue Butler is a native of Columbia, SC, currently residing in Lexington, SC. As a dedicated single mother of two daughters, she has overcome many personal challenges throughout her life, which ultimately inspired her to pursue a career in nursing. Latissue became a Registered Nurse in 2015, and since then, she has worked in various specialties, including oncology, surgical nursing, hospice care, intensive care, and currently as a Dialysis Nurse Manager.

Throughout her nursing career, Latissue has had the privilege of serving a diverse patient population. However, she notes that the most difficult and emotionally impactful experiences have been working with infants. Having personally experienced loss, she deeply empathizes with families who face the heartbreaking reality of seeing young lives fight for survival.

Latissue is honored to serve as a board member of the Sleeping Prince Foundation. Through this role, she is committed to supporting her close friend in honoring the memory of her beloved son, Prince. She hopes to inspire others who have endured similar pain to not only cope with their loss but to also find strength in supporting one another. By sharing experiences and offering compassion, Latissue believes that individuals can foster healing and make a meaningful difference in each other's lives.

PARADISE JENKINS

Treasurer

Paradise Jenkins is a 3rd year student at Tennessee State University majoring in Criminal Justice with a focus on pre-law. With a strong interest in both community service and financial management, Paradise Jenkins serves as the Treasurer for the Sleeping Prince Foundation where they oversee the organization’s financial operations, ensure budget compliance, and maintain accurate financial records.

In addition to their role as treasurer, Paradise is actively involved in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., TSU Legacy Service Fraternity, and the Young Law Students Professional organization, further honing their leadership skills and passion for serving others. Paradise also has experience as TEA Fellow where she facilitated political awareness campaigns and voter drives. Paradise is committed to using their financial and organizational skills to support the nonprofits’ mission and promote transparency and accountability

As a pre-law student, Paradise is also focused on developing a strong foundation in legal principles, with the goal of pursuing a career in law and making a positive impact in the legal field. After graduation, Paradise aspires to combine their legal education and experience in nonprofit work to advocate for communities and drive meaningful change.

JASMIN SPENCER

Junior Board Member (BIT participant)

Jasmin Spencer is a 16-year-old student and an active participant in a board-in-training leadership development program facilitated by the Sleeping Prince Foundation. Through this program Jasmin is learning essential skills in leadership, communication, and decision-making, with a focus on making a positive impact in their community.

In their current position, Jasmin is responsible for organizing and providing activities for the siblings of children in the NICU, helping to create a supportive and engaging environment for families during a challenging time. This role allows Jasmin to develop strong organizational and empathy skills while making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.

Outside of the leadership program, Jasmin is dedicated to excelling academically and is actively involved in her high school Drill team and serves as a Junior Lieutenant. Jasmin is also a member of the National Honor Society. With a passion for service, Jasmin is eager to continue growing as a leader and is committed to using their experiences to inspire and help others in the future.

Deborah Spencer joined Sleeping Prince Foundation Inc. with the vision and drive to improve upon our Non-Profit and focused on developing the organization with experience and integrity. Deborah served as Director of Finance from 2012 - 2020
